COMMISSION ON QUALITY IN PASTORAL SERVICES
|
| The primary responsibility of the Commission on Quality in Pastoral Services is to identify standards of excellence in the practice, structure, and staffing of departments of pastoral care in institutions and agencies employing members of the association and to promote resources to encourage ongoing professional competency and best practice. They actively coordinate and collaborate with the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and other national healthcare regulatory, accrediting, and quality agencies to promote standards of excellence in recognizing the importance of spirituality and religious issues in healthcare and the contributions of members of the association. |
